BEYOND THE SCALE | 1:1 WEIGHT-LOSS COACHING
You have a life you want to build. Your health needs a place in it.
Lose weight, build strength, and learn how to take care of yourself without waiting for life to slow down. Beyond the Scale helps you make food, movement, and follow-through work around your responsibilities—not become another set of demands you’re struggling to keep up with.

YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT. LET’S WORK ON WHAT GETS IN THE WAY.
You handle a lot. Taking care of yourself shouldn’t always come last.
You want to feel different in your body, but the reason goes deeper than how you look. You want the energy to participate in your life, the strength to do more of what matters, and the confidence that comes from following through for yourself.
You’ll recognize yourself here if…
- ●You can manage work, family, and everyone else’s needs—but your own meals and movement get whatever time is left.
- ●You want to lose weight, but you also want to feel stronger, more capable, and more present in your life.
- ●You’re tired of figuring out dinner when you’re already exhausted and hungry.
- ●You know a workout can be modified, but part of you still feels like doing less means you failed.
- ●You want to eat food you enjoy without guessing how to make it work toward your goals.
- ●You’re willing to check in honestly, accept coaching, and practice making different decisions.
This won’t be the right fit if…
- ○You only want a meal plan or workout PDF to follow on your own.
- ○You’re looking for a short challenge with a guaranteed weight-loss result.
- ○You want someone to make every decision for you rather than help you learn how to make them.
- ○You aren’t willing to communicate about what’s working, what isn’t, and where you need support.
THE COACHING APPROACH
We work backward starting in your kitchen.
Before we add more to your day, we look at what your day already asks of you. Your schedule, kitchen, food preferences, energy, and equipment help shape the plan. Then we practice the decisions that make it workable.
Step 1
We Start with a Reset + Audit
We begin with a two-week reset and a kitchen audit. We look at your meals, routines, responsibilities, and the moments where following through becomes difficult—so we’re working on the actual obstacle, not just assigning more tasks.
Step 2
Build the Meal Prep System
We create meals from food you enjoy, recipes you want to make, and workouts that match your current capacity and equipment. We also plan for travel, busy days, and lower-energy options before you need them.
Step 3
Establish Consistency with Habit Stacking
Once you start cooking on a rhythm and building trust with yourself through food we start building habits that makes discipline automatic.
Step 4
Layer in Progressive Overload
As your strength, technique, and confidence improve, we gradually progress your workouts through resistance, reps, or exercise difficulty. Equipment upgrades come when they make sense—not before you’re ready. The goal is to keep building strength with a clear purpose, not keep adding more just to make the workout harder.
Step 5
Learn how to adjust and keep going
Through weekly check-ins, monthly strategy calls, and practical lessons, we review what happened and what needs to change. You practice assessing your capacity, choosing an appropriate adjustment, and following through without treating an imperfect day as failure.
A plan you can follow. Decisions you can trust yourself to make.
The goal is to lose weight and build strength while learning how to care for yourself beyond a perfect week. Not doing more to prove you’re committed—building a routine you can repeat.

WHY I STARTED COACHING
I'm Akima,
and my story may look a lot like yours.
At my heaviest, I was 315 pounds.
When I sat in my OBGYN’s office hearing diagnosis after diagnosis, I felt scared and overwhelmed. Anemia, blood sugar concerns, blood pressure, and symptoms connected to PCOS made me anxious about my health and my future.
I started this journey because I wanted to take control of my health before becoming a mother.
I’ve lost over 90 pounds. I’ve also regained around 30.
And I had to be honest: I had slipped back into survival mode. I was moving so fast for everyone else that I didn’t have the capacity to think about what I needed.
I became a ghost in my own life.
Knowing how to lose weight wasn’t enough. I needed to make room for the decisions and support that helped me care for myself when life was demanding.
My first goal is 200 pounds. It’s a personal milestone—not the number that determines my worth.
I want to improve my health and blood work, fuel my body well, and build a healthier foundation before trying to conceive.
I picture being the parent who shows up for practices, games, and early mornings. The parent who can be active with her children and teach commitment because she practiced it herself first.
The discipline I want to teach them starts with me.
Your reason might be different or it may be the same. You may want more energy for your family, strength for something you’ve always wanted to do, or simply to stop feeling disconnected from yourself.
You don’t have to share my exact dream to belong here.
Beyond the Scale is where I help women work toward their own reasons—through weight loss, strength, and learning how to take care of themselves in the lives they already have.
THE WOMEN DOING THE WORK
Their Progress Speaks for Itself

“Shavon came to coaching while teaching full time during one of the most stressful seasons of her life. Her son was a big part of why she finally decided to make a change. She needed structure — not another plan to guess at. Through meal prep coaching and strength training, she lost 25 pounds. But the real shift was her confidence. She followed through on something for herself, believed in herself again, and eventually made the decision to leave teaching and pursue event planning — a life she actually wanted. A year later, she is still living the system she built here. Shavon is still maintaining her results a year after coaching ended. She quit her job to pursue event planning through social media.”
“Angelica was not chasing a number on the scale — she wanted a complete body recomposition. She wanted to change the way her body looked and felt while still eating the foods she loves. Coaching from Tokyo, she followed a high-protein meal prep approach and a strength-focused training program built around her goals. The scale barely moved. Her body completely changed. She got leaner, more defined, and built a sustainable routine she could maintain from the other side of the world.”
“Lizzett came in carrying emotional eating, low energy, and years of feeling like she could not stay consistent. She did not want another extreme plan — she needed something she could actually live in. We built her program around simple structured meals, better hydration, and a home gym training plan using dumbbells and kettlebells. Lizzett is deeply faith-centered, so the mindset work mattered just as much as the physical. The biggest change was that she stopped starting over. She finally had something she could return to.”
QUESTIONS
Before You Apply
What makes this different from buying a meal plan or joining a challenge?
A meal plan tells you what to eat. A challenge gives you something to complete. Beyond the Scale also coaches you through putting the plan into practice: managing your kitchen, making food decisions, choosing movement that fits your capacity, and adjusting when your circumstances change. We use check-ins and strategy calls to work on what’s actually getting in the way.
My schedule is already full. Do I need to get organized before I start?
No. Your existing responsibilities are part of what we need to understand. We look at your actual week and build from there. You will need to make time to participate, communicate, and practice—but you don’t need to arrive with an empty calendar or everything figured out.
Do I need a gym or lots of equipment?
Your workouts are built around your current equipment and capacity. Tell me what you have access to when you apply. If an equipment upgrade would be useful as you progress, we can discuss it rather than expecting you to buy everything before you begin.
Will I have to give up the food I enjoy or cook separate meals?
Your food preferences and household meals are part of the planning process. We look at recipes, portions, preparation, and practical adjustments that support your goals. The aim is to make your food more workable—not automatically give you a completely separate menu from everyone else.
What happens if I struggle to follow the plan?
That’s something to bring to coaching—not hide until you’ve fixed it. We review what happened, use the options already built into your plan, and decide whether something needs to change. You’re expected to communicate and participate, not perform a perfect week to deserve support.
How much does coaching cost?
Beyond the Scale is a paid 1:1 coaching commitment, not a one-off meal plan. Apply first so we can understand your goals and discuss whether the coaching is appropriate for you. We’ll explain the investment and commitment before you decide whether to enroll.
What happens after I apply?
I review your application to understand your goals, circumstances, and the support you’re looking for. If it looks like a potential fit, the next step is a call to discuss those details, explain the coaching, and answer your questions. Applying does not enroll you or commit you to purchasing.
